Little Flower Ring
Just finished this pretty ring for a very lovely client from Johannesburg. She's visiting Cape Town and will collect it on the weekend, I do hope she'll love it. :)

Ring Update
Anyway, these are the outsides to match the insides of the rings I posted last.
The exhibition was a lovely event altogether and I was so pleased to be able to take part.

Sneak Peek
A little preview of the insides of the two rings that will be going on display at the Resurrecion Life Exhibition, opening at The Castle tomorrow evening. To see the outside/front side, you'll have to come and visit the exhibition - or wait till I upload the images next week... :)
Resurrection Exhibition
It's a simple (looking) display, yet it has sucked up days and days and days (weeks?) of my time. I struggled with the photography and the layout and all kinds of things. It has definitely taken at least six times longer to make my display that I had ever imagined it would. I mean I know things always take longer than I think they will, but this one can really win a prize all of it's own in the department of time-eating - you'd never know just by looking at it - but let's hope it's a great exhibition! I'm sure it will be. :)

Wax lilies
I have been making some wax lilies. The lilies will be cast in sterling silver and then turned in to rings and pendants. It's the first time I am making ones as large as the three on the right - I'm looking forward to seeing how they will look when finished.

Bind them around your neck...
Let not mercy or truth forsake you; bind them around your neck and write them on the tablet of your heart. Proverbs 3:3
Every time I see my friend, Helena, she asks if I've gotten on to making some of these necklaces yet... Well, finally I'm getting there - I think I should let her know.

People Can Change Exhibition
One of three rings created for the 1LifeCreate, 'People Can Change Exhibition'.
Each ring is a variation on the theme of Zachariah 4:3, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.
The rings were created in the hope that they would serve as a reminder of what is true and eternal and of where one should place one's hope.

Little Miss Thirty
I decided to google 'Andrea Hopkins jewellery' (because when I google 'The Lovely Ones' I get links for 'The Loved Ones' and 'The Lovely Bones') and I came across this kind mention of The Lovely Ones posted on the littlemissthirty blog.

I carry you in my heart...
I've been meaning to make a sample of this engraved heart for ages...
The writing is 1mm high--I like that the name is just secretly sitting there, known to the wearer, but unknown to the rest of the world.

Wedding Memento Jewellery :)
One of my favourite things to do is to cast and create a meaningful piece of jewellery using something (like a leaf or a stem) from a bride's wedding flowers. Being the sentimental person that I am, I find this the height of specialness. :)
Cathy love's her wedding bouquet, rose stem bangle and hardly ever takes it off. This makes me very happy.

You're the apple (and kiwi) slice of my eye... :)
We bought a fruit dehydrator a couple of years ago. It makes very tasty snacks, but also very beautiful objects for casting. (I held on to this kiwi and apple slice for about four years before I finally got round to casting them!)
